Meet the Co-Creators
Renée
Renée Parker Johnston studied art at Indiana University and Virginia Commonwealth University. She started working with clay at age 15 and has never stopped. She is a born artist. When she found ceramics she knew it was a calling that would last a lifetime. Her mission as an artist is to create beauty that makes the world a better place to be. Check out her Etsy store for colored clay jewelry at Kauai Clay, and follow her on Instagram @clay_renee.
Rondi
Rondi Harringer has 20+ years experience as a clay artist. Her work reflects a lifelong passion for tribal and ethnic art, drumming and dance. Mask making is a special interest. At LightWave she combines wheel throwing, hand building and roots-style ceremonial art.
Sharon
Sharon Vogel supports LightWave Pottery from the mainland. Serving as both webmistress and geoscientist at a local private college, she moves between the digital and natural worlds each day. When she’s not in front of a computer or at her lab bench, you’ll likely find her barefoot in her flower gardens or crafting plant medicines for friends.
